The Char Dham Yatra with Hemkund Sahib and Vaishno Devi comes in a package of 20D/ 19N. The places that will be covered in this trip are Delhi, Haridwar, Barkot, Yamunotri, Uttarkashi, Gangotri, Guptkashi, Kedarnath, Rudraprayag, Badrinath, Joshimath, Rishikesh, Pipalkoti, Govind Ghat, Ghangariya, Hemkund Sahib, Jammu, Katra and Vaishno Devi.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar (230 kms /6-7hrs approx)

Your trip begins with your arrival at the Delhi Airport/ Railway Station, where you are met and assisted by our representatives. From Delhi, we drive down to Haridwar and check into the hotel. In the evening, we visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in the evening and then back to the hotel for the night stay.

Day 02: Haridwar - Barkot (220 kms /7-8hr approx)

The second day begins with a drive to Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie. Midway, we visit Kempty Falls and from there on straight to the hotel for a night halt.

Day 03: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot {36 kms approx drive & 6 kms approx Trek (one side)

We start with a drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti from where the trek leads to Yamunotri which is approximately 6 kms away. You can reach there by walking, or hiring your own horse or doli. At Yamunotri, one can make his own Prasad by dipping rice (packed in a cloth) into the hot waters of the Surya Kund. This Prasad is taken home by the pilgrims. Before entering the Yamunotri temple, pooja can be offered to the Divya Shila. A bath in the warm waters of Jamunabai Kund is followed by the ‘Darshan’ of Yamunaji and then returning to Jankichatti. Later, we drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Barkot - Uttarkashi (100 kms /4hr approx)

From Barkot, we take a drive to Uttarkashi which is situated on the banks of River Bhagirathi and check into the hotel. Later in the evening, we visit the temple of Lord Vishwanath. It is located where a massive iron trident is erected. It is followed with a night halt in Uttarkashi itself.

Day 05: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 kms /3-4 hrs approx each side)

Our next site is Gangotri (3,048 m), via the picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the magnificent view of the Himalayas. After the Gangotri Darshan, we head back to Uttarkashi and stay there overnight.

Day 06: Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (220 kms /8-9hr approx)

Early in the morning, we drive straight down to Guptkashi, where we check into a hotel for a night halt.

Day 07: Guptkashi - Kedarnath (30 kms approx by road & 14 kms approx Trek)

In the morning, we drive to Gauri Kund from where we commence with our trek to Kedarnath (3,584 m) on foot, by pony or doli. All the tour members are advised to carry personal medicines, heavy woolens, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt in Kedarnath and check into a hotel. Later in the day, we visit the Kedarnath Temple and back again in the hotel for a night stay.

Day 08: Kedarnath - Rudraprayag (14 Kms approx Down Trek & 75 kms /3hr approx by Road)

After an early morning Temple Darshan in Kedarnath, we trek back down to Gauri Kund. From here, we drive to Rudraprayag, the confluence of River Mandakini and River Alaknanda via Guptkashi. We check into the hotel at Rudraprayag for a night halt.

Day 09: Rudraprayag - Badrinath (165 kms/7hr approx)

We drive down to Badrinath via Joshimath and check in. In the evening, we visit the Badrinath Temple for Aarti which is followed by an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 10: Badrinath - Joshimath (44 kms /3hr approx) / Pipalkoti (85 kms /4hr approx) / Kirtinagar (200 kms /7-8hr approx)

The 10th day begins with an early morning bath in the Tapt Kund, after which the pilgrims have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahmakapal, a flat platform on the bank of River Alaknanda is important for Pinddan Shraddh of the ancestors (Pitrus). The other interesting sightseeing spots are the Mana Village inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian Village before Tibet, Vyas Gufa, which is a rock cave near Mana Village. There is also the Mata Murty Temple which is devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples are Sesh Netra, Urvashi and Charanpaduka Temples. Charanpaduka, is a beautiful meadow where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is seen on a boulder is 3 kms away from Badrinath. Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River is just within 3 kms of Badrinath. We later drive back to Joshimath / Pipalkoti / Kirtinagar and check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Joshimath - Rishikesh (255 kms /8-9hr approx) / Pipalkoti - Rishikesh (210 kms /7-8hr approx) / Kirtinagar - Rishikesh (105 kms /3-4hr approx)

Next, we take a drive to Rishikesh, a spiritual town, famously known as the ‘place of sages’ situated on the banks of River Ganga, surrounded by the Shivalik Range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared here by the name of ‘Hrishikesh’ and henceforth, this area came to be known as Rishikesh. In Rishikesh, we check into a hotel and later visit the Rishikesh Temples and other sightseeing such as the Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram, Parmarth Ashram. In the evening, we also visit Ganga Aarti in Parmarth Niketan. We rest overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 12: Rishikesh - Pipalkoti

We leave Rishikesh in the morning and drive to Pipalkoti. Reach Pipalkoti and rest the day. Spend the night in the hotel.

Day 13: Piplakoti - Govind Ghat (50 kms/ 2 hrs approx) - Ghangariya (14 kms/ 4 hrs approx by trek)

Next morning after breakfast, check out and drive to Govind Ghat. From there, begin your trek to Ghangaria (approx. 3000 mtrs). Check into the hotel in Ghangaria and stay overnight.

Day 14: Ghangaria - Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria (5 Kms/5 hrs approx trek one way)

You begin your trek early morning to Hemkund Sahib, reach there, take a bath in the holy pond and attend the Ardaas. Trek back to Ghangaria and stay overnight in the hotel in Ghangaria.

Day 15: Ghangaria (14 kms/ 4 hrs approx by trek) - Govind Ghat (22 kms/ 1hr approx) - Pipalkoti

You trek back to Govind Ghat and get driven to Pipalkoti for a night halt in the Pipalkoti hotel.

Day 16: Pipalkoti - Delhi

It is back to Delhi this day from Pipalkoti in a car. Relax the whole day in Delhi or go sop in the Delhi markets. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 17: Delhi - Jammu - Katra

After breakfast, leave for Jammu. Get transferred to the Airport to catch your flight to Jammu. Check into the hotel and after lunch and by afternoon, leave for Katra in a car. Arrive in Katra and begin the Yatra on foot to the temple of Vaishno Devi.

Day 18: Vaishno Devi - Katra - Jammu

Arrive at the temple of Vaishno Devi early in the midnight hours. Spend a couple of hours at the temple for Darshan and Prasad and then return to Katra after breakfast at a local restaurant. Leave Katra for Jammu in a car. Check into the hotel and freshen up. Go out, relax and recuperate. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 19: Jammu - Delhi

Get transferred to the airport to board your flight to Delhi. Reach Delhi and check into the hotel. Take a city tour in the evening and visit the Laxmi Narayan Temple, Hanuman Mandir and India Gate. Return to the hotel for the night.

Day 20: Delhi

Get transferred to the airport to take your return flight back home. The tour ends here.
