The duration of the Golden Triangle Tour with Holy Char Dham Yatra is 18D/ 17N. The starting point is Delhi and the tour ends back here in Delhi. The cities that we cover are Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Haridwar, Barkot, Yamunotri, Uttarkashi, Gangotri, Guptkashi, Kedarnath, Rudraprayag, Badrinath, Joshimath, and Rishikesh.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi

Our Golden Triangle Tour with Holy Char Dham begins from Delhi. Arrive at the Delhi Airport/ Railway Station and get assisted by our tour representative who will escort you to your pre booked hotel. Relax for a while, and then head towards the Light and Sound Show Programme at Red Fort, followed by dinner at an exotic restaurant. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi

This entire day will be spent sightseeing Delhi, both Old Delhi and New Delhi. For New Delhi, you will be visiting India Gate, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, and Akshardham Temple, and National Art Gallery. The sites for Old Delhi covers, Jama Masjid and Chandi Chowk. Next, you visit Gandhi Memorial followed by shopping and dinner. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra (204 km/ 4 hours approx)

Get driven to Agra via Sikandra and visit the Tomb of Emperor Akbar. Reach Agra and check into the hotel. Check out the Agra Fort and Imad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb. Reach the Taj Mahal before sunset and explore the Taj and its premises. Leave for shopping around the city and later, return to the hotel for a night halt.

Day 04: Agra - Jaipur (250 Kms/ 5 Hrs approx)

Early in the morning, you can visit the Taj Mahal again. Proceed towards Jaiput, the Pink City enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri, a World Heritage Site. Reach Jaipur and check into the hotel. Relax a while. Dinner will be served in the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Jaipur

Begin the day by sightseeing around Jaipur. Visit the Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort. Explore the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, the Astronomical Observatory, Jantar Mantar. Roam the bazaars of Jaipur and later return to the hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 06: Jaipur - Delhi (258 kms/ 6 hours approx)

Leave for Delhi in the morning. Reach Delhi and check into the hotel. The day is free for you to relax, recreate or go shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 07: Delhi - Haridwar (230 kms/ 6-7hrs approx)

We begin with our Char Dham Yatra now. From Delhi, we drive down to Haridwar and check into the hotel. In the evening, we visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in the evening and then back to the hotel for the night stay.

Day 08: Haridwar - Barkot (220 kms/7-8hr approx)

The second day begins with a drive to Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie. Midway, we visit Kempty Falls and from there on straight to the hotel for a night halt.

Day 09: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot {36 kms approx drive & 6 kms approx Trek (one side)}

We start with a drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti from where the trek leads to Yamunotri which is approximately 6 kms away. You can reach there by walking, or hiring your own horse or doli. At Yamunotri, one can make his own Prasad by dipping rice (packed in a cloth) into the hot waters of the Surya Kund. This Prasad is taken home by the pilgrims. Before entering the Yamunotri temple, pooja can be offered to the Divya Shila. A bath in the warm waters of Jamunabai Kund is followed by the ‘Darshan’ of Yamunaji and then returning to Jankichatti. Later, we drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10: Barkot - Uttarkashi (100 kms/ 4hr approx)

From Barkot, we take a drive to Uttarkashi which is situated on the banks of River Bhagirathi and check into the hotel. Later in the evening, we visit the temple of Lord Vishwanath. It is located where a massive iron trident is erected. It is followed with a night halt in Uttarkashi itself.

Day 11: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 kms/ 3-4 approx hrs each side)

Our next site is Gangotri (3,048 m), via the picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the magnificent view of the Himalayas. After the Gangotri Darshan, we head back to Uttarkashi and stay there overnight.

Day 12: Uttarkashi Guptkashi (220 kms/8-9hr approx)

Early in the morning, we drive straight down to Guptkashi, where we check into a hotel for a night halt.

Day 13: Guptkashi - Kedarnath (30 kms approx by road & 14 kms approx Trek)

In the morning, we drive to Gauri Kund from where we commence with our trek to Kedarnath (3,584 m) on foot, by pony or doli. All the tour members are advised to carry personal medicines, heavy woolens, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt in Kedarnath and check into a hotel. Later in the day, we visit the Kedarnath Temple and back again in the hotel for a night stay.

Day 14: Kedarnath - Rudraprayag (14 Kms approx Down Trek & 75 kms approx /3hr by Road)

After an early morning Temple Darshan in Kedarnath, we trek back down to Gauri Kund. From here, we drive to Rudraprayag, the confluence of River Mandakini and River Alaknanda via Guptkashi. We check into the hotel at Rudraprayag for a night halt.

Day 15: Rudraprayag - Badrinath (165 kms/ 7hr approx)

We drive down to Badrinath via Joshimath and check in. In the evening, we visit the Badrinath Temple for Aarti which is followed by an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 16: Badrinath - Joshimath (44 kms/3hr approx) / Pipalkoti (85 kms/ 4hr approx) / Kirtinagar (200 kms /7-8hr approx)

The 10th day begins with an early morning bath in the Tapt Kund, after which the pilgrims have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahmakapal, a flat platform on the bank of River Alaknanda is important for Pinddan Shraddh of the ancestors (Pitrus). The other interesting sightseeing spots are the Mana Village inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian Village before Tibet, Vyas Gufa, which is a rock cave near Mana Village. There is also the Mata Murty Temple which is devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples are Sesh Netra, Urvashi and Charanpaduka Temples. Charanpaduka, is a beautiful meadow where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is seen on a boulder is 3 kms away from Badrinath. Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River is just within 3 kms of Badrinath. We later drive back to Joshimath / Pipalkoti / Kirtinagar and check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 17: Joshimath - Rishikesh (255 kms /8-9hr approx) / Pipalkoti - Rishikesh (210 kms /7-8hr approx) / Kirtinagar - Rishikesh (105 kms/3-4hr approx)

Next, we take a drive to Rishikesh. In Rishikesh, we check into a hotel and later visit the Rishikesh Temples and other sightseeing such as the Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram, Parmarth Ashram. In the evening, we also visit Ganga Aarti in Parmarth Niketan. We rest overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 18: Rishikesh - Haridwar - Delhi (250 kms /7-8hr approx)

We leave Rishikesh in the morning and drive back to Delhi via Haridwar. On arriving Delhi, you would be transferred to the Delhi airport/ Railway Station. The tour terminates here.
